hearing above 2000 rpms. I dropped the front cross member and oil pan. removed all rod bearings, and the number 1 cylinder rod bearing was spun. I did'nt take any pictures, but the bearing was not spun soo bad, there was still plenty of friction material on it, but it was spun. I checked the crank for discoloration or scratches and there was none. I bought a new set of bearings, installed them and hope for the best. The car was not run for more than 2 miles since the knock started, and I must say it did not knock at idle at all. Do you guys think my motor will be fine? Also when I removed the oil filter I found that there was rubber inside the two little balls in the oil filter tree, could that have caused some sort of oil lubrication problem that made the bearing spin?
